The fake profile is the most common scam. Very effective, simple to do, easy to get away withand easy to be duped by. Beware! The general rule about spoting a fake profile is simple. If they look and sound too good to be true, than that is exactly what they might be, and its the first sign that you should be suspicious. Commonsence plays a big part here. The photo is obviously the first thing to analyse. Photos of professional models are fairly easy to spot. But what if the person really is a model an they really look like that? You will have dig deeper into the profile text and try to decide for yourself. Another very effective technique is to scan trough a lot of profiles and build up an overal picture of the site in general. If someone is placing multiple fake profiles, than the grammatical stile and in some cases complete phrases will be identical and it will be fairly easy tospot. Generaly if profile is a long, detailed and diffrent to all the others, then you can be pretty surethat it is a genuine profile. Let yourcommon sense and intuition play the role.
